bearings and freeze plugs already installed. Plus, the extra stroke of the 383 will give you better torque over a 350. This is the same short block we use to produce our 383ci/400hp LT1 and 383ci/375hp LT1 long block packages.

designed for the LT1 Camaro and Firebird that won't break the
bank. It produces excellent power numbers, with 400 horsepower
at 5000 rpm and 464 lb/ft at 4000 rpm. Has a good idle and
runs on 91 octane or higher pump fuel.
With 440hp and 460 ft lbs of torque this engine gives you the next level of street/strip power and is a direct bolt in for any car that has a LT1 engine from the factory. It has a very flat torque curve and a 900 rpm idle and works best with a 2800 rpm stall converter and a set of 3.73 gears.

When using a ATI Pro Charger D1SC running 12 psi of boost this long block was able to make 600 RWHP which is about 700 Flywheel HP. You will need to install a ported LT1 intake, proper fuel injectors,
58mm throttle body and a custom computer tune to reach this power level.
