After building a few of these LSx engines for big boost we finally got the chance
to build one for big NA power!! We started off with the ever so strong GM LSx
cast iron block which reminds of us a GM Bowtie Gen 1 race block. With
a Callies forged steel crank, H-beam Compstar rods and a Diamond custom
forged piston set this engines lower end is bullet proof to say the least!!!
We have tested a number of top end kits with this engine and have found
for the money you cannot beat the GM LS3 head once it has been CNC ported
and matched along with the new Fast LSx R intake and 102mm throttle body.
Read on to see how we meticulously build this monster LSx engine to make
big hp and still be street friendly!

This block is easy to pick out with its factory orange powder coat paint and its
6-bolt head bolt pattern.

Here is the Callies 4340 forged steel crankshaft in all its glory. It is internally
balanced front and rear, notice the multiple slugs of heavy metal needed to get
this long 4.250" stroke crank running smoothly.

Here is the lineup: Custom Diamond 2618 forged pistons and Mahle Plasma
Moly rings, Callies 4340 forged H-beam rods and ACL H-series rod bearings.

Here we are carefully brushing out each oil galley in the block to ensure that
all the metal from the line honing procedure is removed. This will ensure that
there is no unwanted metal present at start up.
