The LS2 402 competition short block uses GM's new LS2 block with a 4.005" bore to produce the large 402CI. The larger cubic inch allows for more low end torque is a good foundation for higher horsepower applications.

The LQ9 cast iron block is a lot stronger than the aluminum LS blocks so it welcomes big power. We have head and cam packages available to turn this short block into a street monster.

The LS7 440ci short block works best with heads that flow above 330 cfm and has the capabilities of making 700hp when matched with the right cam and intake. We have some great CNC ported L92 heads that flow 360 cfm at .650” lift and a matching solid roller cams that will get you to the 700hp mark with this short block.

Turn Key LS Engines

Golen Engine Service Turn Key LS engines are designed to drop in to your existing set-up with a minimum of hassle. All turn-key engines are fully broken in on our engine dyno which takes about a day and a half from start to finish. This includes running approximately 20 gallons of fuel through the engine, 2 oil changes and the filters are cut open and inspected. A leak down test is done to ensure the engine is sealed properly. A dyno sheet with full horsepower and torque graphs is generated and included with your engine shipment.

So even if you may already have a part or two that is included in the turn-key engine package, the added assurance that comes with a fully dynoed and broken in engine is well worth making the decision to go turn-key.
 

LS2 402ci / 550HP Turn Key
Tons of power for the street or strip, this engine will run on 91 octane pump fuel, idles at 900rpm and will run your stock A/C with no problems. All this and 11's at the track!

This engine is good for a daily driven street/strip car that will make up to 900HP at the flywheel. We made about that with an ATI Pro Charger running 15psi of boost on our engine dyno.
